As family owners of Super One, Cub Foods and SuperValu locations, we know that our valued employees – many of whom are neighbors and friends – are the faces, hearts and hands of our stores.
For more than 35 years, we have successfully worked together in the best interests of our employees on 15+ collective bargaining agreements, each of which employees approved in a timely manner and without any labor dispute.
We are hurt and disappointed by the damaging tactics employed by Union leadership. Their public attacks and focus on strikes not only risks driving loyal customers to non-union stores but jeopardizes the very wages and benefits on which our employees rely.
Our most recent offer provides more than a 15% increase in wages and benefits for employees over the proposed two years of the contract. It is the highest offer ever made by our Companies for any Local Union with whom we do business, and it is the most significant offer ever made in our long and successful history of negotiations with Local 663.
We made our offer in good faith to provide employees with significant increases in wages and benefits, while also remaining fiscally responsible so we can continue to serve the Brainerd Lakes Area community.
